Joe Smith, Director – Joe has a BA in Accounting from Western Illinois University.

After initially working for one of the top regional CPA firms, Joe has worked in the search industry since 1981. Prior to forming Smith and Syberg, Joe served as the Vice President of a large search firm in Indianapolis.

Leadership roles have included: Western Illinois University College of Business and Technology National Advisory Board, Columbus Indiana Philharmonic Board of Directors, Rotary International (Club President, Assistant District Governor), Indiana CPA Society, Columbus Park Foundation, Turning Point Domestic Violence Services, Child Abuse Prevention Council, United Way, and several local educational and youth organizations.

Keith Syberg, Director – Keith has a BA in Communications and a MA in Educational Administration from Truman State University.

His early career was focused in university administration, culminating as a Vice President of Student Services. Keith began his career in executive search in 1984, when he joined a large Indianapolis search firm, later becoming Director over the Retained Search Division.

Leadership roles have included: Association for Manufacturing Excellence/ AME (Chairman), Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce (Board of Directors), and the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.

Sherrie Morgan, Operations Manager – Sherrie has been with Smith and Syberg since 1997.  In addition to managing the day-to-day operation of the firm, she serves as the research associate, maintaining our extensive candidate database.

Prior to joining Smith and Syberg, Sherrie was an Office Manager for a consulting firm in Indianapolis. Her earlier experience included various administrative support roles with a large municipality.
